Definition

Myopathic changes are weakness or biopsy results that suggest a muscle disorder, such as muscular dystrophy.

Symptoms

The main symptom is weakness (for example, when walking up stairs).

Signs and tests

A tissue sample (biopsy) looked at under a microscope will show changes to the muscle.
