Tumor

Mass of abnormally growing cells.

Tumor is the term applied to any collection of abnormally growing cells. In most instances, tumors are solid, although health care professionals use the term solid tumor specifically to describe a localized mass of abnormally growing tissue. Solid tumors that are cancerous are termed malignant; those that are not cancerous are termed benign.
