What is this medicine?

TAZAROTENE (ta ZAR oh teen) is applied to the skin to treat facial wrinkles or certain types of dark or light colored spots on the face.

This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

How should I use this medicine?

This medicine is for external use only. Do not take by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Make sure the skin is clean and dry. If you use a cream or lotion to soften your skin, apply this medicine after all of the other cream or lotion has been absorbed. Apply just enough cream to cover the affected areas. Rub in gently. Do not cover area with a tight dressing. Wash your hands after applying this medicine

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
